How I Make Money At Home

Several of my friends asked me how I was able to quit my job and work at home after my daughter was born. I told them what I do, and how I do it and realized that their may be others out there wanting to do the same thing.
It's no big secret that their is money to be made using the internet, but don't
expect to get rich at it.
Maybe a very very few will, but most will not.
But then we all like to dream about being one of the the lucky rich ones.
Dreams aside, I do know that anyone willing to put in some effort can earn money from the net.

I do several things to generate a nice income from the net.
First off during the summer months I buy and sell at a number of local yard sales and flea markets.
But come fall thru winter I turn my attention to the internet auctions. eBay! is a great place to be, whether your looking for bargains or looking to sell.
I always do both. I seek out and pick up all kinds of great bargains, then sell them at a profit, both on line and off.
Check around your house, do you have stuff to get rid of, books, toys, clothing, anything at all then register free at eBay! now. Take a day or two to browse around their site. It doesn't take long to learn how to sell a eBay! then get that stuff sold.
It's either cash in your pocket, or dust collectors in your closets.
eBay! is also a great place to advertise and sell your handcrafted items too.
If your going to consider selling at eBay! or from your own web site join Paypal now so you can accept credit cards. Most people will use credit cards and Paypal is a well know respected third party payment processor. It too is free to join
I wouldn't be in business long without my Paypal Account.
The next thing I do to earn money is called affiliate marketing.
As an affiliate marketer I make websites with different themes, then I add convenient affiliate links for people to find the products or services I recommend to them.
How does this work?
Well let's suppose you make a site about dogs. Your site might have sections about dog care, dog feeding, dog health, dog toys etc. Each page would tell about what the dog needs in that particular section, then you would recommend a product (affiliate link) to fill the needs for that section
The conscientious dog owner wants the best for their pet and often times will click your affiliate link to either learn more or to buy your recommendation. If they buy, you earn a nice commission from the sale.
Commissions vary widely with different companies. To find a large selection of companies you should join the Commission Junction Network, they have hundreds of vendors listed for any subject you can think of, and unlike many other affiliate networks they pool your earnings from different vendors allowing you to earn a check much faster.
The best thing I like about affiliate marketing is it costs me nothing but my time.

Now if I have ads on my site they will be ads that make me money, and not someone else.
Update:
The newest method I am using to earn excellent money at home is Google Adsence.
I simple plug in the adsence code, and Google serves up ads related directly to the content of my site(s). Now when anyone clicks an ad, I get the cash.
This also works perfectly with the affiliate sites I already have. By combining adsence with affiliate programs I can double my income on each site I make.
