Article - 5 Simple Ideas That Bring You Web Traffic For Free

Web Traffic + Converting Sales Copy = Sales and $$$

For a sales Copy to be converting you need to offer - Something People desperately need and is read by people who are already spending money or prepared to spend money on it now. In this article, I am going to look at that other element of the above equation - Getting Free Web Traffic.

Idea 1. Content is King and with Keyword Research that reign is supreme! Corny yes - but very true. You need to research carefully your choice and use of Keywords and Keyword Phrases. Not everyone uses the same keywords when searching using Google or other search engines. These Keywords will be placed in your Blogs, Articles, PPC campaigns or elsewhere to drive web traffic to your site via the search engines.

Idea 2. Keyword Research - two Free tools I use

freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends/

Type in your chosen keyword or keyword phrase and you are given many alternatives that people are actually using when they are searching for information, with the number of daily searches made. Use these to collect that daily web traffic that is freely available.
Click the bar chart icon to the right and you can see the competition for this keyword in a PPC campaign. Keywords with less than 30,000 are worth pursuing using the Free Tips that follow in this article.

adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Another great Free tool. Type in your Keyword or Keyword Phrase - for example "web traffic". Complete the robot check box and hit "Get keyword ideas".
The actual data refers to what keywords people are using in their Adwords campaigns.
Again you are presented with alternative keywords or Keyword Phrase to use in blogs, articles etc.
Keyword phrases with "not enough data" are not worth using.
Scroll down the page and on the right you will see a "csv (for excel)" download option. Create an Excel spreadsheet with this data if you want to examine the data move closely, within an Excel spreadsheet.

Getting exposure on the web.

It is pointless opening a new and brilliant store if no one knows where it is!
On the internet you need to make your presence known, otherwise it will be impossible to drive web traffic to your site. This can be achieved in several Free ways:

Idea 3. Write a Regular Blog.

There are two simple Blog platforms you could use Blogger.com and Wordpress. Both are free and are excellent tools to generate web traffic.
Google simply loves Wordpress. There the blogs are daily updated and google and the other search engines crawl these sites regularly looking for evidence of new content.

Remember "Content is King". If you regularly update your blog you will quickly become indexed in the search engines.

Sign up for Wordpress at Wordpress.org/ and click on "get a free blog on Wordpress.com".
Here you can get a blog without a Website or need for web hosting!! It's Free! Alternatively you can run your Wordpress blog from your own website.

Tips
- Write good quality blogs with your keywords and keyword phrases mentioned several times. - Include your keyword in your Title. - Include keyword tags. - Include a link to your own website or your affiliate link to your merchant's website.

Idea 4. Writing Articles - there are many Free Article Directories to choose from e.g. GoArticles.com and EzineArticles.com (first 10 articles are free) are great ones.

Tips

- You Must include your keywords in your Title - e.g. "web traffic").

- Add a little intrigue to the title ( to get it read) e.g. "7 Things You Really Must Know About (Keyword Phrase), Before You Buy".

- Write in a friendly conversational style, although being controversial draws attention too.

- Mention your keywords several times in the article, for the search engines to find. This helps drive web traffic to your site.

- Don't over do it or you will be accused of Keyword Spamming. Your article will also become unreadable and switch off any truly interested person.

- In the Authors Bio at the bottom of your article have a link to your own website or any affiliate link to your merchant's website. This is a Must, if you want more web traffic.

- Include some tempting offer to get people to click on this link. Something like, a free report, or ebook etc.

Idea 5. Capturing Email Addresses (after you have got people to click on your link in your blog or article).
Here are two alternatives to help you build your list and encourage future web traffic to your site.

Tips

- Have a Squeeze Page as your landing page, with no sales copy!

Don't want frighten them away in an attempt to sell

something. Be patient. Offer something tempting and of value

to them, in exchange for their email details.

If they are not prepared to give you their email details (first name

and email address) then they're unlikely to be prepared to part

with their cash later!

- OR a standard Sales Copy landing page, with an Opt In box, with another offer of a free report, ebook, audio or video that solve their problem or offers a service they need. If they bought from your sales page, you still want their email details to follow up with backend sales opportunities.

Once you have their email details, your autoresponder email series kicks into motion and you are ready to start to build that all important "relationship" with your list.
Provide your list with good quality content and tips (remember "Content is King!") and soon you have the opportunity to redirect them back to your site with another tempting offer, but this time to another of your sales pages.

Follow these simple ideas to drive more web traffic to your website.

To your success.
